Horsehair cloth interlining

The interlinings in the category haircloth are the horsehair or woollen cloths, mostly to sew in. All of these are made with a few raw materials. all of them have hair in it, horsehair, wool or goathair. Mostly combined with viscose or cotton an a small percentage synthetic material.
For the ladies the more supple types are used like the woollen ones or thin horsehair cloth. For gents the heavier kinds are used but also the supple interfacings in garments from thin supple fabric. Depends on what you want your jacket to look and feel like.
All horsehair cloths are suitable for fronts of jackets, coats and overcoats etc. Mostly sewn in by hand and finished with fittingtape.

Thin fusable volume fleece with reinforcing threads

This new thin volume fleece has reinforcing threads in the length, they keep your jacket front from sagging.
It's iron on and ist mostly used on horsehair cloth in fronts of jackets,blazers etc.
Are you using a thin fabric with little volume and your chestpiece looks flat? Take a piece of this fleece and fuse it to the top part of the front on the horsehair cloth. It should cover the shoulder and go down to just over the nipple. It is a thin layer but it will give the jacket a little extra without it looking stuffed.

(Bridal)laminate

With bridal laminate you reinforce tops of bridal and cocktailgowns, giving it stretngth and form. Use it between the cloth and the lining. Depending on the chosen pattern you can also add boning to the interlining in the top of the dress. Bridal laminate is fusable or sew in.

These laminates are also used for making mens neckties. Because the raw material is viscose it can also be a substitute for horsehair cloth for allergic people.

Fusable cloth interlining / Coat interfacing

With these fusable interlinings a whole range of garments are being reinforced. We have a few heavier types for jackets and coats. For example when making a winter coat the heavier fabric needs a heavier interfacing. Also thinner ones are available, those are more commonly used in blouses and dresses.
The name polyquick is mentioned sometimes, we sell it under the name: fusable woven interlining firm beige.
For shirt collars we have a special interlining: fusable cotton extra firm white. Are you creating a blouse and you want a little less firm, try the fusable cotton vilene G700. There are also other vilene interlinings suitable for blouses, please check the vilene page.

This knitted product is stretchy and voluminous. Suitable for stretch fabrics as fiberfill interfacing or filling of sleeve heads.
It's supplety makes it an allrounder if you need warmth, stretch or volume in your garment.
