This thin and very strong thread is made from 100% linen and makes sure your buttons are sewn on very well, used on uniforms, jeans, workman's clothing and moreIt is an oldfashioned product that originated in the army. Many soldiers carried one of these stars with a needle in their brestpocket so they could re-attach a loose button. The star is much flatter than a spool or bobbin, making it easier to carry around in your pocket
